Homemade birthday gift-only $3 bucks to make

My super special friend is having a birthday this weekend. She just moved into a new house last week so she has no internet for the week, hoping she doesn't see this before I give it to her. Anyway, she sent me a link a while back for a "how to make your own cupcake stand" and said that we should try to make them together. Well with her being so busy unpacking, I thought I would make it for her. Her home colors are red and black.
So I went to the dollar tree and found a 2 pack of these sove burner covers for a buck.

Then I found these candle holders at the dollar tree, got 2, so $2 bucks.
I already had the wrapping paper, modge podge,spray paint (left over from Christmas) and the glue,so $0.


Got to work and this was the end result. Can't wait to make a yellow one for me :)

    As a last minute party planner (party in T minus 6 days... and zero things checked off my list), I am definitely squeezing this craft in my to do list this week! I have always been hesitant to buy cupcake/cake stands because of the price. But these are cuter than the $25 stands at Target and whoop! Cheaper!!
