Free weekend fun in So Cal

UGH.....blogger.

So remember I shared that I was changing my blog name, for privacy reasons....well, of course, the week I decide to purchase a custom domain name, bloggers mapping is all screwed up and I have no official blog (going on day 7 now). My GFC is gone, which makes me so sad because I'm not sure if it will ever come back. Hoping they fix the problem very soon. This address should be redirected to my new address which is justsimplylive.com

So I'm gonna go ahead and do a blog post today, not knowing if it will even make it out in blog land.....not sure this page will exist much longer because on the google apps dashboard, everyone is complaining that they have lost both their blogspot and new custom url. so here we go.

If you live in So Cal and are looking for some free fun with your family, we found 3 great spots.

The first one is Crystal Cove Beach. It's located between Newport and Laguna. It's the MOST adorable beach I have ever been too. I've lived in California my whole life and can't believe it has taken me all these years to go there. It's now our new fav beach and we can't wait to rent a cottage there next summer.....did I mention the beach front properties are vintage, owned by the state, and really really cheap.

The next free place to visit is The Santa Rosa Plateau. This was actually mine and the kids 3rd time but my hubby's first.
It's a 3 mile round trip hike with Adobe's and Vernal Pools (however, in the summer, the Vernal Pools were all dried up). The scenery is gorgeous and the picture options are endless. We had a blast exploring, taking pictures and of course a scavenger hunt.

The last one is Old Town San Diego. This was actually my friends idea, she suggested we take the train to make our adventure even better. Kids are free and adults were like $12 for the round trip train ride. total blast.
